Bring you pumpkin for our mass carving session\, a beautiful site at the end when they are all lit up! Tea-light provided. \nDon’t miss ‘burning the Guy’. You will be given Marshmallows for roasting. \nWill you need any extra pennies? …….. Hot chocolate with marshmallows £2. Face painting £2 \nWhat is included?……. DESCRIPTION:What will I get from this course? … This is a two day all inclusive forest skills & outdoor learning leadership course. This course offers a more cost effective way of gaining the basic skills to manage outdoor learning for a variety of groups in your environment from educational establishments to youth groups. \nWhat is included? … You will be actively involved in a practical course exploring a variety of ways for meeting curriculum target outdoors\, ideas that would work in youth groups\, as well as those who may be home educating their children. \nPart of this training course with give you Level 1 skills in using basic woodcraft tools\, it will equip you with knowledge to use fire safely in your space. When completing the fire safety aspect of the course there will be an expectation that you will provide some evidence of safe practice and there will be one follow up assessment that will require you to be videoed with six children demonstrating good practice. \nHow will it help me? …. It is designed to equip people with the skills to deliver outdoor fun and education developmental opportunities to a good standard. To give a good overall understanding of the principles of forest school and to recognise the psychological benefits of learning and exploring outdoors. \nWe will explore the way the outdoors can be used to fulfil curriculum requirements as well as the importance of the outdoors for exploration and well-being for all. DESCRIPTION:What will we achieve?……We have designed two fabulously creative\, comprehensive courses…..Level 1 and Level 2. Each will have distinctive content that will equip you to deliver exciting woodcraft activities to all ages and all abilities of children and young people using safe methods. You will leave with a greater understanding of tools & their use.  \nWhat will be included?……This session will include Level 1 principles in the morning and for those who want to extend their knowledge we will go on to continue with our Level 2 practice in the afternoon.  \nDrinks & snacks provided\, bring any additional food as desired\, eg packed lunch. \nLevel 1…. ideal for those working with younger children from nursery to the end of KS2. \nThis is a three hour course to help you understand the best wood and tool for the job & how to make a collection of fabulous things to take away with you. \n\nWe will explore different types of wood\, their uses\, strengths & weakness.\nLook at different tools and their purpose and appropriate use.\nWe will explore the use of dowelling rather than the use of nails for joining.\nWe will make several items to demonstrate understanding and safe use\, including whittling to make a decorated marshmallow stick\, making a mallet\, a peg\, a spiky hedgehog and a whistle.\nEach attendee will leave having written up their risk assessment for using tools in school.\n\nAt the end of the course you should be able to identify some common wood\, use the listed tools safely appropriately and with competency and know how to make the four listed items. You should have an understanding of risk and benefits of using tools with children including skill and age appropriateness.  \nLevel 2…ideal for those who want to explore ideas & safe delivery to children and young people in KS1\, KS2\, 3 & 4 \nThis is a five hour course to help you understand the best wood and tool for the job. To prepare a piece of wood for carving a spoon. To expand that understanding into the use of carving equipment and the safe use of an axe. \n\nWe will explore different types of wood\, their uses\, strengths & weakness.\nLook at different tools and their purpose and appropriate use and care of them.\nWe will explore the use of dowelling rather than the use of nails for joining.\nWe will make several items to demonstrate understanding and safe use\, including whitling to make a decorated marshmallow stick\, making a mallet\, a peg\, a spiky hedgehog\, a peg loom\, a whistle and learn some basic carving which may lead to carving a spoon.\nSome basic weaving skills…we will make one item on our wooden weaving stand using willow.\nEach attendee will leave having written up their risk assessment for using tools in school.\n\nWho can attend? DESCRIPTION:How Long is this event?…….A three night camping experience with one and half days of activities  \nWho is this for?………Family Friendly…..For adults and children alike\, we even accept well behaved dogs. \nWhat is the setting?…..A chilled out woodland environment with no wifi & poor phone reception. A place to explore and have fun together in a beautiful woodland setting.   \nWhat should I bring?….. Yourselves & your tent with bed & bedding! After that our advice is travel light\, it all has to be packed\, unpacked and repacked and it never goes back in as easily as it come out! Pack for the weather\, pack to eat\, pop in a bat and ball and you should be fine. We will provide the fire pit & BBQ\, you may need to share\, but that’s the fun of a festival. We will set up a washing up station\, but bring tea towels & bin bags\, a cool box too\, we are off-grid\, no luxuries like a fridge. \nWhat will be happening?…….. \n  \nWhat’s included……..  \n\nThe activities on Saturday afternoon & all day Sunday. \nSelf-serve drinks all weekend.\nLight bite lunch on both days.\nCake decorating competition on Saturday afternoon\, you get to keep and eat the cake provided by us\nCold Buffet tea on Saturday.\nHot dogs\, pasta & fruit for Sunday lunch\nPizza & hot pot meal with cakes\, fruit & yogurt on Sunday evening\nMini disco on Sunday evening.\nMarshmallows round the communal campfire on Sunday. \n\nWhat time does the fun begin?…….Friday…arrival from 4pm \nWhy join us? …….Our Mini Festival is all about inviting families to step into a world of imagination\, curiosity\, and outdoor play. Our afternoon session will be an exciting collection of activities inspired by ‘………………………..’. \nUsing natural materials\, open-ended activities\, and storytelling. We want to show that meaningful\, joyful experiences don’t need to be expensive or over-produced-just rooted in nature\, creativity\, and connection. Our aim is to get families outdoors\, spark imaginative play\, and celebrate the joy of being a little bit curious together. \nIt’s a fantastic relationship building opportunity for all\, a place to get together and enjoy a fabulous variety of activities from yoga & sound bowls to forest school and bushcraft. \nYou & your youngsters bonding over open fire cooking\, roasting marshmallows\, exploring all aspects of our themed activities & survival skills\, woodcraft… getting creative in the woodwork room\, make a mallet or whistle for example\, weaving\, willow festival crowns\, archery & air rifle shooting\, shelter building\, fire lighting\, as well as the zip wire\, rope swing\, getting muddy in mud kitchen\, water play & sand pit and much more. Getting to know your fellow campers. \nHere is the detail:  \nArrive on Friday evening from 4pm\, get settled and have your own BBQ. \nOn Saturday join us for lunch at 12.30pm (£2 per head) for GF/DF pasta\, homemade soup & a roll\, fruit\, cake & yogurt; followed by an afternoon of fun activities!. \nJust some of the things we will get up to\, there will definitely be more\, there is always more: \n\n\n\nSelf serve drinks are included \nParent will need to stay for this day of fun & are entirely responsible for their supervision! \nWe will end with a cake icing completion and a tea party which is included in your ticket price. \nOn Sunday at 10.30am you can head up to forest school and let the fun begin.  Your day at forest school will all be wrapped up at 4.00pm and you will be free to head back to the campsite\, but don’t forget Pizza Night is included and will be open from 5pm. \nWe will ensure you are well fed and watered with your help\, we will get you creating and cooking using the lovely ingredients provided by us and then when all is done at Forest School you can head to your campsite and use all the facilities to continue to build new friendships through our campsite games. \nFrom 5pm-9pm we will open up for pizza night on the events venue with a mini disco. You will be provided with pizza\, salad & a vegan options\, a soft drink and cake & fruit/yogurt. \nFinish the evening off with a mini disco\, our communal campfire and marshmallows. \nMonday …. relax in the space or explore the area of beautiful Shropshire\, Ironbridge or Shrewsbury. Check out 4pm. \nPlease note…Camping will be split between our campsite pitches and our lovely big field\, we will give you shelter for cooking or sitting under\, a couple of BBQ’s and a large fire pit & some games creating a lovely communal space. You will have access to the playing field and all the other amenities of the campsite.  \nHuts & tents are available on a first come first serve basis at an additional cost of £50 per unit for the three nights of the weekend. DESCRIPTION:Two nights camping & six hours of open fire cooking camp & eating. An exciting opportunity to have two night at our lovely back to basics\, off-grid camp site and sandwiched in between a wonderful six hours of family cooking\, making awesome food on the open fire & eating our creations. Far more than just roasting marshmallows\, but of course\, we won’t miss out roasting them. \nFamily Campfire Cooking includes several bushcraft activities such as; tripod making\, foraging\, fire-lighting\, cooking on open fires and sharp knife use. Our staff are trained and experienced in helping you with all our creativity during these activities. \nWe will not go hungry from cooking a mid morning brunch in a pepper to creating soups & Dutch oven casseroles\, kebabs to gutting fish & cooking them for lunch\, we will ensure we satisfy the sweet tooth too. We will be working in the woodwork room too making a tripod amongst other useful tools. \nOur cooking day will be on the Saturday and happen between 10am-4pm\, have a light breakfast as the first fruits of our labour may not make it to the table until around 11.30am. \nVAT included\, non-refundable.
